New Beginnings - Breathing New Life Into Old Jewels
Here at Warrenders we are firm believers that fine jewellery is there to be worn! Of course some pieces work a little harder than others, but no treasure should be destined to a life collecting dust at the bottom of the jewellery box.

Our award-winning team are experts in transforming inherited or unworn jewellery into beautiful pieces to be treasured for years to come. From gently adapting a much-loved piece for a better fit, to completely reimagining unworn jewellery into a brand new design, we are experts in making your jewellery work for you.

This beautiful pendant was designed and created using diamonds from two of our customer’s existing rings, along with a gorgeous blue sapphire we sourced. We are pleased to say she was absolutely over the moon with her Warrenders creation:

"From the very start with the initial design, suggestions and advice, the service has been exceptional. I am delighted with the finished pendant and want to give special thanks to Gemma for all her help."

Created from a brooch our customer didn't wear, we carefully adapted the fastening without making any changes to the beautiful design, transforming the piece into this stunning pendant.

In celebration of our customer’s diamond wedding anniversary, we reimagined an inherited solitaire ring into this jaw dropping design, fit for 60 years of love. Featuring a nod to our customer’s original aquamarine engagement ring, the piece showcases the inherited diamond at its heart, beautifully supported by gleaming platinum and diamond encrusted shoulders.

These beautiful bracelets were created for our dear customer and hold a tender story of family love.

From a gold cigarette case inherited from her grandfather, our customer asked us to create gold trilogy links to represent herself, her sister and her brother who had sadly passed away.

Some of the trilogy links we made were turned into a beautiful pair of matching bracelets, one for her and one a gift for her sister who was recently married. On the wedding day the sisters swapped their identical bracelets to form the bride's 'something borrowed' and also provide a loving tribute to their brother.

We remodelled this diamond ring into something more our customer's style. Keen to keep the original mount for a future project, we carefully unset the two beautiful diamonds and used them in this modern, asymmetric design.

We’re over the moon to announce that we are the winners of Retail Team of the Year at the Retail Jeweller UK Jewellery Awards 2023! The whole team had a really wonderful time celebrating at the awards ceremony last week which took place at the London Metropole.

Our talented Warrenders team was up against stiff competition from five other shortlisted finalists from across the country, but took home the coveted Retail Team of the Year award with some truly outstanding comments from the judges.

“This team clearly has strong professional but also personal ties with their customers, who trust them to deliver professional knowledge, advice and offer a friendly ear. This is what independent retail jewellery sales is all about.

Countless examples in the application highlighted the team’s willingness to go the extra mile, whether it was sourcing unique jewellery or tracking down limited edition watches, nothing is too much trouble.”

Taking Care of Your Jewellery This Summer

Sun cream, chlorine and perspiration can play havoc with your jewellery, but that doesn't mean you should pack your favourite pieces away until autumn!

We believe beautiful jewellery should be enjoyed all year round. So, if you want to dazzle poolside, we've put together some expert tips and tricks for keeping your jewellery looking its best this summer. 

The Heart of the Ocean
Although emerging from the waters of the Caribbean, Ursula Andress style, may not be ideal for keeping your jewellery looking its best (we recommend removing your jewellery before swimming), when it comes to summer jewels some precious stones and metals are better than others at withstanding holiday conditions.

Porous or sensitive stones like turquoise and emerald are particularly vulnerable to water damage, heat and exposure to chemicals and therefore may not be the best pairing for a summer escape. Non-porous gemstones like diamonds, tanzanite, sapphire and aquamarine are hardier, but are better saved for an evening soiree than a day at the beach.

Travel in Style
The key to travelling with fine jewellery is to keep each piece separate when stored. The best compact jewellery travel cases or rolls have individual compartments for each item, dedicated clasps for necklace chains to avoid them getting tangled and secure compartments for rings, bracelets and watches.

Keep it Clean
Even if you safely stowed your jewellery before applying sun cream or taking a dip, during the warmer months it is always a good idea to give each item a quick clean when you take it off at night. A wipe with a soft cloth can help remove perspiration, creams or oils which can tarnish or dull your jewellery.

At the end of summer we also advise bringing any frequently worn items in for a professional clean to remove dirt, oils and any rogue sand particles. Keeping on top of your jewellery maintenance is the best way to ensure your favourite pieces keep looking their best for many years to come.

Sweat it Out
Although perspiration isn’t the friend of most jewels, some gemstones love natural oils and look more lustrous and beautiful the more you wear them – perfect for hot, balmy evenings abroad! Pearls and opals in particular thrive when worn and are the kind of gemstones that don’t mind a little summer ‘glow’.
